Larry is an accomplished environmental and occupational health and safety professional with experience in commercial and residential construction, general industry, hazardous waste, health services, manufacturing, military, mining, production, transportation, and other ventures from small to large size organizations. His passion is influencing people to inspire positive attitudes, healthy behaviors, improve company culture, quality, and performance with exceptional compliance, leadership, management, staffing, and training.

He provides innovative solutions to complex issues in working with diverse people at all levels by clearly communicating individual and organizational goals for continual improvement. Notable achievements include reducing accidents, incidents, liability insurance, and workers compensation costs using effective and efficient audits, evaluations, good catch programs, inspections, leading indicators, program reviews, reports, risk assessments, and root cause analysis.

Having advanced knowledge of ANSI, DOT, EM-385, EPA, MSHA, OSHA, and USACE Regulatory Standards, Larry is a qualified trainer in confined space, driver education, excavation and trenching, fall protection, first aid-CPR, forklifts, HAZWOPER, lockout-tagout, machine guarding, material handling, mobile elevated work platforms, scaffolding, silica, and traffic control. He serves on Health & Safety Advisory Groups representing industry employers, is an enthusiastic contributor with outstanding leadership, excellent public speaking, presentation, and team building skills.

Larry started SAFE- Safety Associates For Employers, LLC in 2011 after a good friend was killed at a construction job site. He builds on a reputation of personal accountability, commitment, integrity, responsibility, and trust to create and sustain employee and sub-contractor safe work practices. His boots on the ground hands-on approach is what sets him apart. Contracting with business owners and decision-makers, SAFE delivers results that enhance and promote the value of workplace safety. The company mission is “Save Employers Money by Saving Employees Lives.”

Maintaining a good life work balance is a priority, so in his spare time, Larry actively participates in community service endeavors, enjoys outdoor activities like biking, camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, traveling, and especially family events with their 7 adult children and 7 grandkids. He is a confident, energetic, fun, outgoing person with a sense of humor that loves to engage with people and make a progressive difference in the world.
