This 1-day course focuses on safe digging, excavation, and trenching practices. It is excellent for your most experienced workers, new employees, as well as people just entering the industry.
The training covers Federal OSHA 1926 Subpart P and Cal OSHA Title 8, Article 6, Sections 1539-1543, requirements of excavations, trenching, sloping techniques, protective systems, manufacturer tabulated data, USA 811, soils classification, and site specific engineering. This comprehensive training is an important part of keeping your company compliant with current OSHA regulations and providing your key people with the information and resources needed in a Competent Person role.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion upon successfully passing the written exam and practical evaluation. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own air/gas monitors (sniffers) and must wear appropriate work clothes and personal protective equipment for the practical evaluation.
