Raymond McCleary is a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) with SAFE-Safety Associates For Employers at KG Walters Construction NAS Fallon NV. Ray began his career as a commercial diver and welding inspector working his way up through the ranks as a tender and eventually a Saturation diver. He’s worked with diverse crews from all over the world laying pipelines, installing offshore platforms, retrofitting older platforms, hot taps, tie-ins, pipeline abandonment, platform abandonment, and well head installs. Ray takes his oil field production experience in coaching workers on how to preform job task safely while maximizing production and moral. He performs daily worksite safety inspections, conducts weekly safety trainings & meetings, maintains records, writes Accident Prevention Plan’s (APP), Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA-JHA-JSA), confined space, fall protection, scaffolding, hoisting lift plans, rigging and signaling, job site safety orientations, and actively helps employees and sub-contractors develop and implement safety programs.
